Whenever I am in the process of setting up a photo session, the all imporant question always comes up - "where should we do the photos?" Sometimes my clients have locations in mind (which is awesome) and sometimes they look to me for suggestions (also awesome). The one thing I love about the family in these photos is that they look to have their photos done in locations that mean something to them. Last year, we met at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth because their children love it there and as locals, they frequent the beautiful location. This year, we also met in Cape Elizabeth, but this time it was at their favorite ice cream stand and also at Kettle Cove. Both of these locations have meaning to their adorable family. When the matriarch of the family said "would it be crazy if we started at this mural my kids love?" my reponse was "no, that is not crazy and I LOVE that idea!" What follows are some of my favorite shots from this family session. I just adore this five-some. I think I can still hear the laughter of the kids and their parents as we explored some meaningful spots.
