50 years ago my in-laws got married!
And what better way to celebrate that than with your extended family! To mark this milestone we decided to celebrate with a family gathering at the Mountain View Grand Resort located in Whitefield, New Hampshire. The resort is BEAUTIFUL to say the least. It certainly has an old mountain resort charm, yet it has many modern amenities and a ton to do for families. There is an indoor pool, a game room (board games upstairs and games like air hockey downstairs), an activity center with ping pong, indoor bowling, etc. and also a small movie theatre! In addition there is a disc golf course and a small farm complete with chickens, sheep, roosters, and more! We also had the chance to visit Santa's Village in Jefferson, NH. The park is often staffed by older adults (and young ones, too!) who are so enthusiastic and fun to interact with. Their positive energy really adds to the experience!
We found both experiences to be a perfect fit for our family. If you have children who are always on the go and need things to do at a hotel - the Mountain View Grand is perfect. And likewise, if you are interested in taking your child to a "theme park" but you are worried they may be too overstimulated or it may be too loud in that type of atmosphere, Santa's Village is also a great spot.
