I know I have said this on more than one occasion, but not a day goes by that I don't feel grateful for being a photographer. It has allowed me to not only tap into my creativity, work a schedule that allows me to manage parenthood and a household, but also because it has allowed me to cross paths with some incredible people. A few weeks ago, I was contacted by an individual who wanted to do a surprise proposal for his girlfriend right before the holidays. So on a dark, crisp, and beautiful December evening, I huddled behind the gazebo in downtown Brunswick, Maine with this couple's close friends and family, ready to capture this memorable moment. The love between the couple and their friends and family was palatable. I could sense that in my initial phone call with the groom-to-be and later during the capturing of these unforgettable moments.
